RGM was established in 1982 by Robyn Gardiner as a talent management company representing the finest actors out of Australia. The company then extended that representation to include local directors, writers, filmmakers and celebrities. Within a short period of time, artists developed by RGM were becoming internationally recognised, and the company began to form strong relationships with international agents who co-represented talent from Australia in the US and UK. The larger markets of Europe and the United States were keen to work with RGM knowing that they could identify and develop talent from the Asia Pacific regions for world wide exposure. In 1998, Robyn formed a partnership with Devesh Chetty, whose background in film production and distribution combined with film financing was significant in creating the model for RGM’s expansion into Executive Production.

In 2004, RGM expanded their business into Asia to source talent and literary properties from the regions for exposure in the US. By 2005, the company had formed what is now RGM Entertainment Pte Limited, which is the holding company for the Australian agency, the talent management company in Singapore and the executive production company. Through the representation of talent and access to internationally recognisable artists, RGM has acquired a number of businesses which provide executive production services which source, develop, package, finance and sell content for the global market. The executive production company provides these services and expertise to internationally recognisable Producers of content for Film, Television and New Media.

RGM has established its headquarters in Singapore, and is in the process of further expanding the business into Asia and Europe.
